Declaration of Trust

This declaration of trust (the Deed) is made on 21 September 2022 by the COMMUNITY ASSEMBLY OF THE BRITISH ISLES (CA British Isles) which is established as a Private Members' Association (the Association) bound by a formal framework and the respective roles and responsibilities of volunteer members.

WHEREAS the Treasurer holds and distributes donations (the Donations) on behalf of CA British Isles whereby it is contemplated that further donations may be paid or transferred to the Treasurer upon the same trusts.

NOW THIS DECLARATION WITNESSES AS FOLLOWS:

Administration

The Association and its donations shall be administered and managed under the name of John Gilbert, MD (AV), MHA, SAC Dip, FGAV, MBCS, MIET, C.Eng., LCGI., MCHI. John Gilbert is co-founder of the Community Assembly of the British Isles and Community Peace Constable with additional Kort Auditor and Kort Judicator training.

Treasurer

The Treasurer of the Association and it's donations shall be John Gilbert of 10 Orchard Park, Station Road, Bugle, Cornwall, Kernow, PL26 8NW as appointed by CA British Isles until such time as this role is transferred.

Donations

The Treasurer shall hold the Donations upon trust to apply as required, and at its discretion, so far as may be permissible, the capital of the Donations.

Governance

In furtherance of the Donations but not otherwise, the Treasurer may exercise the following:

- to invite and receive donations, provided that, in raising donations, the Treasurer shall not undertake any permanent trading activity and shall conform to any relevant lawful regulations;

- to cooperate with Members of CA British Isles operating in furtherance of the Donations and to exchange information and advice with them;

- to employ such assistance as necessary for the proper pursuit of the Donations and to make all reasonable and necessary provision for their payment if required;

- to transfer the Donations or any part thereof to projects responsible for the maintenance, development and provision of CA British Isles services for the benefit of CA British Isles Members and the membership as a whole.

- to make regulations from time to time for the conduct of operations including the collection of money online, deposit or transfer of money at a bank and the custody of documents;

- to do all such other lawful things as are necessary for the achievement of the Donations.

Accounting

The Treasurer shall comply with the framework in the keeping of accounting records for CA British Isles. in the preparation and publication of statements of account for CA British Isles as required, and, in the availability of the statements of account for CA British Isles Members if requested.

Amendments

The Treasurer may amend the provisions of this Declaration of Trust at any time as long as due process is followed as per the framework with any amendments published accordingly.
