Community Assembly Hubs

CABI is the Community Assembly of the British Isles.

Community Assembly Hubs are physical locations that will provide a range of services and facilities to Members of the Community Assembly of the British Isles.

Supporting local communities

Safe, nurturing and creative environments founded on shared values, support and cooperation.

The aim is to set up a network of centres dedicated to local communities in the British Isles for the purpose of providing facilities and working in association with the Community Assemblies , Community Health Initiative , Community Peace Service , local Peace Keepers and the Community Law Courts .

A typical Community Assembly Hub consists of some or all of the following facilities and services:

  • A central administration office for the Community Assembly Hub, local community, Community Assembly Facilitators and Peace Keepers,
  • A large room allocated as a Community Law Court and central library which can also be used for lectures, seminars, artistic presentations and training,
  • A break-out area and/or separate smaller rooms for meetings and study areas,
  • A healing centre with dedicated treatment and utility rooms together with a healing garden for therapy and a herb garden for making herbal remedies,
  • A large communal kitchen with a breakfast/dining area and associated utility rooms,
  • A market garden area for growing fruit, vegetables and herbs with associated outbuildings for storage, processing and packing for sale or distribution to members,
  • Outbuildings for storage, studios and workshops with a communal shower block and camping field,
  • Gardens for holding events such as summer fetes, pagan weddings, special occasion gatherings and exhibitions,
  • Land suitable for communal camping and for building a Tiny House village - each with their own vegetable gardens and other facilities.

Collaboration is key for identifying the most respected knowledge, methodologies, ideas, technologies and practices that can be successfully implemented through a process of cooperation, support, evidence-based rationality, consensus and continuous improvement.

This removes the need for a leadership/management hierarchy and associated roles and titles. Instead everyone works together with the help of the Community Assembly Facilitators who are responsible for setting up and administering Community Assembly Hubs for the best interests of individuals, the local community, Peace Keepers and the Community Assembly network in general.
