About this Assembly
The Community Assembly of Woolley is located in a hamlet in the very northernmost part of Cornwall which is part of the Kernow Territory. Woolley is situated a few hundred yards from the border between Cornwall and Devon, and less than a mile from the source of the River Tamar, which shortly below that point flows southward bearing the borderline with it all the way to the sea. The population at the 2011 census was 791.
Three miles to the west is Morwenstow, a village barely bigger, by Cornwall's rocky north coast. Morwenstow. Morwenstow is the most northerly parish in Kernow. As well as the churchtown (a hamlet called Crosstown), other settlements in the parish include Shop, Woodford, Gooseham, Eastcott, Woolley and West Youlstone.
